At St Alban’s, we believe that when Jesus said God loves the whole world – every race, every group, every heart – he meant it. We invite you into a living faith tradition rooted in God’s unconditional love.

Outreach Projects

St.  Alban’s might seem like a quiet little church tucked away in the pine woods, but its members are always busy putting faith into action.  Some of the places you will find us are:

  • Episcopal Place

We provide a monthly liturgy for the residents.

  • 55th Place

A thrift store which benefits Episcopal Place and a Food Pantry in Birmingham – several of our members serve there weekly, and all of us support it with our donations of clothing and household items.

  • Green Springs Ministries

Around the Baptismal Font, you will see baskets and boxes of food, toiletries, and school supplies.  GSM provides much more than food.  Many of their clients receive assistance with learning English, finding a home, connecting with other services that help them get on their feet and succeed in their transitions.

  • St. Andrew's ARC Christmas Party

The residents of ARC (formerly St. Andrew’s Place) have been coming to St. Alban’s for over 35 years for a home cooked Christmas feast, singing, and surprises.  The residents are adults with physical and cognitive disabilities, many of whom have little or no family.  Each resident’s name (and wish list)  is chosen by a member of the parish, and at the dinner they are surprised with gifts galore.  Each year we part with a blessing, and see you next year.

  • Stop Hunger Now

Several times a year St. Alban’s folk join with other churches to package high-protein food packets for areas of the world where food is scarce.  It is a ministry in which we also enjoy the company of other church members.

  • Habitat For Humanity

The Diocese of Alabama in 2015 invited us to be part of a build. Some of our parishioners wielded hammers, while others utilized cooking skills for the teams.  We will be participating in the 2016-7 build!
